I've recently have been reliving a very fond childhood memory of mine, playing Super Mario All-Stars. For those who don't know, this is a Super Nintendo (SNES) game that came out in '93 which basically wrapped up all the previous mario games into a single title, with upgraded graphics and even an extra game, called Lost Levels (which in Japan was actually known as Super Mario Bros 2).
I have such fond memories of playing this game because i really enjoyed playing the old mario games with the updated graphics. When I downloaded the original Super Mario for my Wii console, it was neat to play the original, but I was hoping for the All-Stars version to be available as well. I was dissappointed to find out that All-Stars wasn't available for download at the Wii Shop Channel.
So what to do? I decided to go and get an SNES emulator and I had the chance to play my old games (including the original Super Mario Kart). It's very satisfying seeing these old games come to life. I still hope that Wii sells this game online because it does get a bit cumbersome playing a game with a keyboard.
But still, ah, fun times. :)
